Detailed description:

A regional organization is currently seeking a Business Development Officer to attract and identify a broader scope of clients across the region.

Responsibilities

Developing and sustaining solid relationships with company stakeholders and customers
Developing and pitching ideas to potential investors and clients
Meeting with potential investors and clients to present company offerings and negotiate business deals
Analyzing customer feedback data to determine whether customers are satisfied with company products and services
Providing insight into product development and competitive positioning
Conducting market research to identify new business opportunities
Collaborating with management team to determine the most viable, cost-effective approach to pursue new business opportunities
Recruiting, training, and guiding business development staff

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business management, finance, accounting, marketing, or related field
A minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development or a similar role

Strong communication skills and practices in both written and verbal formats. Must be able to multitask, work well under pressure and take appropriate action when necessary. Must have excellent organizational and leadership abilities. Must be a creative, independent and critical thinker. Must be able to travel overseas as needed. Must be motivated to work with minimal supervision – site meetings, out-of-office work environment.
